During July a ‘collection’ of eportfolio thought leaders have joined and contributed to the first set of Eportfolio Conversations. These conversations are happening in a Google Group and you can now apply to join at:

I have now scheduled an inaugural meeting (Elluminate Live sessions) at this address in LearnCentral. The meeting will be held in the Australia Series Elluminate room at 4.00 pm GMT+10 on Monday August 30.

  1. If only I’d read your post sooner Carole! Was discussing eportfolios (within education field) with a colleague yesterday and will hope to make the session on Monday.

  2. Hello, glad to know you can join us. Please feel free to grab 5 minutes to present a snapshot of what you are doing with eportfolios. Send to me at coachcarole2012(at)gmail.com

  3. Hi Carole,
I’m very interested in EpCoP from a research perspective and in particular the use of ePs for RPL. I am a member of the Prior Learning International Research Centre (PLIRC)and will be at the eP conference in Melb in November presenting a poster on PLIRC and gauging interest in practitioners and researchers around the use of ePs and RPL. Unfortunately I will miss the 30th August as I am teaching in China then.

    • Hi Ros, glad you dropped by. I look forward to meeting you at the Melbourne conference. There is some interest in Eportfolios as RPL instruments at the moment – I am working with a regional project team using a combination of Moodle/ Mahara for that process. Do you have a web address for the PLIRC? I’d really value your visit to the new googlesite and add your link in the resources page.

  4. Hi Carole,

Sounds like a great idea. I work as a Project Officer in Workforce Develpment in TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute and am responsible for overseeing our current ePortfolio trials. As a Hairdressing teacher, my collegaues and I have successfully implemented Mahara for use in both delivery and assessment and will be presenting a case study at eP2010 in Melbourne. I am hoping to be able to join you for the online session 🙂

    • HI Nayomie, you’d be most welcome at first and all meetings of the new
EpCoP, wer’e really needing to hear from the practitioners who are already making eportfolios work for their students. I look forward to meeting you at the eP2010 in Melbourne. CC
